Sensitisation programme on wildlife crime held at airport

GUWAHATI, March 30 - The Guwahati sub-regional office of the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau, Government of India, organised a sensitisation programme for staff of CISF, Customs, Assam Forest department, Airports Authority of India (AAI) and government and private airlines at the Regional Training Centre, LGBI Airport, on March 27 and 28.

The programme was aimed at sensitising the officials and staff on preventing wildlife crime and smuggling, a press release said.

AAI provided the necessary logistics support for the event during which a total of 64 officials were sensitised.
