GUWAHATI, Feb 25 - A seminar on �Underwater Domain Awareness (UDA) Framework for Effective Security and Growth for All in the Region (SAGAR) Vision for the River Ecosystem in the North East� was held here recently under the joint aegis of the State Innovation and Transformation Aayog and the Assam Science Technology and Environment Council (ASTEC).
Himangshu Shekhar Das, Chief Information Commissioner, Government of Assam, attended the inaugural session as the guest of honour.
The session was also attended by Dr Arnab Das, director of Maritime Research Centre and Lt Gen DB Shekatkar, president of Forum for Integrated National Security, among other dignitaries.
The daylong seminar had plenary sessions with technical presentations by experts from related fields.
Over 180 professionals from security establishments, business communities, environment and disaster management authorities, science and technology providers and academia participated in the event.
