New Delhi, Oct 13 (IANS): The Supreme Court will on Friday hear former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's bail plea. She is presently in a Bangalore jail after her conviction in a disproportionate assets case.
The former Chief Minister was awarded four-year prison term and a fine of Rs 100 crore.
The apex court Chief Justice HL Dattu said that the matter would be heard Friday as senior counsel Fali S Nariman mentioned her matter for an early hearing.
Jayalalithaa had moved to the Supreme Court last Thursday seeking the bail.
