NAGAON, Aug 2 - Former Congress minister Rockybul Hussain and his wife Najneen Akhtar tested positive for COVID-19 today.
During a rapid antigen test drive initiated by the district medical surveillance team at the Nagaon Dhaka Patty area, former minister Rockybul Hussain, his wife Najneen Akhtar and one of his nephew were detected as positive for COVID-19 today, sources claimed, adding that the district health services authority would launch another rapid antigen test drive soon among those Congress workers of the district who recently came in contact with the former minister and his wife.
Meanwhile, Guluk Sarma (85) of Majpathori, a COVID-19 positive patient who was undergoing treatment at the Nagaon Swahid Bhugeswari Phookonani Civil Hospital, succumbed to the virus in the hospital today.
