Red Cross Society organising traffic awareness prog

GUWAHATI, May 2 - Indian Red Cross Society, Guwahati District Branch, in support of Assam State Branch, is organising a traffic awareness programme to have better traffic discipline and reduce accidental deaths and injuries.

The programme will be held from 9 am to 11 am at Chandmari flyover point (by Holy Child School) and at Paltan Bazar flyover point (by YMCA School) on May 3; from 3 pm to 6 pm at Dharapur Chariali (by Miles Bronson School) on May 4; and from 9 am to 11 am at Kachari point (by Don Bosco School) on May 7.

The programme will be conducted through the Junior Red Cross volunteers from different schools with assistance from the district administration and police, a press release said.
