Record-breaking gamocha woven

GUWAHATI, April 12 � Eight artisans from Balmakuchi in Nalbari district have woven the longest ever gamocha measuring 180 feet in length and four feet wide. It took one month for the artisans to complete the project, informs a press release.

The project was sponsored by Airtel. It may be mentioned that last year Airtel had entered the Limca Book of Records by sponsoring the largest japi with a diameter of 40 feet.
