GUWAHATI, Sept 20 The first Assamese one-take feature film That night in quest of his beloved has now officially been recognized as the worlds longest film in that category by the Asia Book of Records.

The story, screenplay, photography, and direction of the film is by Ashok Sarma. The only character in the film is portrayed by veteran artist Pradip Nishith. Prior to the recognition by Asia Book of Record, the India Book of Records had certified the film as the worlds longest silent, one-take feature film.

That night in quest of his beloved also happens to be the only mono-character film in Assamese, and also the first to bag a world record.

The story of the film revolves around a missing lady. The husband who goes to the bungalow from where his wife had been missing confronted some weird supernatural activities, and eventually learns that his wife was murdered.

On his achievement, Sarma said, It is a recognition to an Assamese film, and should serve the Assamese film industry in good stead.
