Reading library corner opened

GUWAHATI, Sept 21 - The Resource Centre for United Nations � North East Region has opened a UN/UNESCO reading library corner at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Dibrugarh recently, stated a press release.

The centre was inaugurated by Aswini Sarma, Executive Director of Resource Centre for UN � NER in presence of Rev Fr VA Thomas, Principal of the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Dibrugarh and Rev Fr Kamil Horo Rector of the DBHS School, Dibrugarh.

Books, journals, newsletters publications of United Nations, UNESCO, World Bank, UNDID, UNICEF, WHO, UNIFEM etc., will be available in the said library for the readers. UN publications on education, science & technology, culture, health, environment, climate change, human rights, communications & media will also be available in the library. This library is the first of its kind in Dibrugarh district.

Shakil Ahmed Khan, president of the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School alumni, Dibrugarh was also present besides the faculties and students of the school, the release added.
