GUWAHATI, Sept 4 - An all-Guwahati quiz competition among school students on the lives and works of Srimanta Sankaradeva, Madhabdev, Damodardev and Haridev will be held on September 26 on the occasion of the 570th janmotsav of Sankaradeva, a press release stated.
The quiz competition, open for students of class VII to XII, will be held at the Srimanta Sankardev Namghar Kalakristi Kendra at Pub Sarania. Each team shall have two members. Besides trophies, cash prizes of Rs 1,500, Rs 1,200 and Rs 1,000 will be awarded to the first, second and third teams. Rs 400 will be awarded to the fourth, fifth and sixth teams, and Rs 500 and a trophy will be given to the best competitor.
