Prof Kushwaha new VC of Rajiv Gandhi University

ITANAGAR, Oct 6 - Prof Saket Kushwaha has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of the Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), the lone Central varsity of Arunachal Pradesh.

The Vice Chancellor�s chair had remained vacant for the last nine months following the retirement of Prof Tamo Mibang, the previous incumbent.

Prof Kushwaha, former Vice Chancellor of LN Mithila University, Darbhanga, Bihar, and head of the Agriculture Economics Department, Institute of Agriculture Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, took over charge as the Vice Chancellor of the RGU on Thursday evening.

He was welcomed by the university fraternity including the RGU Teachers� Association and RGU Students� Union.

In a brief interaction, the new Vice Chancellor assured that the next five years would be fruitful in all possible ways. Speaking to students� union representatives, he said that an e-mail ID would be dedicated to them for redress of grievances.
