GUWAHATI, May 22 - Congress leader Pranjit Choudhury, who was arrested on Saturday night in a case of sexual harassment was today produced before a court which remanded him to 24 hours police custody.
Choudhury is charged with establishing a physical relationship with a girl on the pretext of marriage before going back on his promise. Police said the accused is being questioned. Investigators had sought five days� custody.
