JORABAT, Sept 28 - As the Durga Puja festivities got under way, the Jorabat Police beefed up security arrangements here and the adjoining areas.
A team of Jorabat Police has been visiting the puja pandals at Jorabat and its vicinity to review the security arrangements.
Partha Pratim Gogoi, in-charge of Jorabat Police Outpost, said that the police have instructed the puja committees to install CCTV cameras to keep vigil on the activities going on. �We are committed to providing safe, secure and hassle-free celebration of puja this year,� he added.
