GUWAHATI, July 28 - Assam Police Blues made a flying start in the Guwahati Sports Association�s (GSA) A Division Football League drubbing Maharana Athletic Club 3-0.
In the totally one-sided inaugural match of the championship, for the Jibeswar Goswami Trophy, at the Nehru Stadium here today, the cops took no time to settle down and forced the opponent to fight with the back to the wall.
In the 30th minute, Bolneril Chorai opened the account and the winning team maintained the lead till the break.
After resumption Mofidul Islam enhanced the margin in the 65th minute and after just three minutes Malaram Basumatary made it 3-0.
