GUWAHATI, Jan 1 - Dr Umesh Barman, Director of Police (Communication), Assam, has been elevated to the rank of Inspector General of Police (Communication) Assam, from the rank of DIGP.
Dr Barman was awarded the President�s Police Medal last year for his sincere and dedicated service.
In pursuance of a Gauhati High Court order dated 20-12-2018, the Govt of Assam issued a notification relating to his promotion on the superannuation day of December 31, stated a press release issued here.
