GUWAHATI, Aug 19 - The Guwahati Planetarium has become the country�s first planetarium to go green with a 43 kw grid-connected solar power plant.
The plant was inaugurated by Science and Technology Minister Keshab Mahanta today.
A project of the State Science and Technology Department, the solar power plant has been installed by the New and Renewal Energy Wing of APDCL and developed by PAE Renewable (P) Ltd under the Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS).
Munin Choudhary, GM, NRE, APDCL, Ajay Das, nodal officer of IPDS, Arup Misra, Director, ASTEC, Kimnei Changsan, Director, Guwahati Planetarium, and Mrinal Choudhuri, Additional Director of Assam Energy Development Agency, among others, were present at the inauguration programme.
