Permanent Durga idol set up in temple

DERGAON, Oct 11 - A permanent idol of Goddess Durga made of marble has been set up at the Sarbajanin Durga Mandir at Habungia Mandir Tiniali, 10 km from Dergaon town.

At a programme held recently, retired teacher Ananda Sarma hoisted a flag, which was followed by mangalacharan by Jyoti High School�s assistant teacher Cheniram Sarma Shastri.

A cultural programme was organised in which children recited poems and performed dances, which was followed by Devi Naam by a group of women.
