GUWAHATI, Jan 23 - Papul Changmai clinched gold while Monalisha Sonowal won silver in the ongoing Inter State Championship of the Senior National Weightlifting Championship at Mangalore, Karnataka from January 21.
Papul bagged the gold in 77kg category by lifting 136kg in snatch and 167kg in clean and jerk. Monalisha won the silver medal in 53kg category. She lifted 73kg in snatch and 92kg in clean and jerk.
