One more COVID-19 death in Meghalaya

SHILLONG, Sept 10 - One more person died of COVID-19 and 99 new positive cases were reported across Meghalaya during the past 24 hours.

The deceased was identified as a 38-year-old woman from the State capital. Health officials said the deceased was a diabetic and had also been suffering from other ailments. She was brought dead to the Nazareth Hospital and tested COVID-19 positive.

The total active cases in the State have now reached 1,434 with the new positive cases reported. During the past 24 hours, 19 patients have also recovered, taking the total recoveries to 1,842.

Out of the new cases reported, 40 were reported from East Khasi Hills district, 27 from East Jaintia Hills district, 18 from West Garo Hills district, 11 from Ri-Bhoi district and one each from West Jaintia Hills, West Khasi Hills and South West Garo Hills districts.
