GUWAHATI, July 21 - Assam Police�s Crime Branch today arrested one Dipjyoti Gogoi for allegedly circulating a post in social media wherein he falsely projected Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal asking for contribution from citizens to help the flood-affected people as the government exchequer was empty.
After being arrested, the accused was sent to judicial custody by the court.
On June 20, Raju Kalita�of Crime Branch lodged an FIR stating that a post was found circulating on social media platform where he shared the post.
In the said post, a bank account number, IFS code and PAN Card details were also given. The said post has been declared as fake by the DIPR, Guwahati.
