Oil spill from ONGC pipeline

JORHAT, July 23 - Oil spilled out from a pipe transporting crude oil belonging to the ONGC on the outskirts of Garamur here today reportedly due to leakage in the pipeline.

A police official said that the Garamur police outpost was informed today morning by local villagers that oil was seen spilling from the pipeline passing through a swamp near the Shirdi Sai temple.

Fire brigade and police personnel rushed to the spot followed by ONGC officials and staff who were working to fix the snag.
