GUWAHATI, Sept 27 - Oil India Football Club of Duliajan and Ryntih Club of Shillong entered the quarterfinal stage of the 11th Bodousa Cup Invitational Football Tournament organised by the Bodousa Sports Club.
At Changsari today, in a pre-quarterfinal match Oil India trounced Assam Police Blues by a big margin of 3-1 goals. Milan Basumatary netted two goals while Fwidan Borgayari scored the other goal. Mofidul Islam reduced the margin for Assam Police Blues.
In another thrilling pre-quarterfinal match played at the Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex at Ghograpar, Ryntih Club edged past CRPF Jalandhar by a solitary goal. The all important goal of the match was scored by Milanchi in the 86th minute.
At Duliajan, Sagolband United of Manipur cruised into the quarterfinals with a 2-1 victory against BSF Jalandhar. In the closely contested encounter, Pritom Ningthojam scored both the goals while BSF�s goal was scored by SS Das. Pritom was adjudged the best player of the match.
At Diphu, Minerva Punjab FC defeated Diphu Sports Association 2-1 to enter the quarterfinals. Denjil put Minerva ahead in the 19th minute while Kangbora Ronghang equalised in the 41st minute. After two minutes Makan fired the match winning goal for the Punjab side.
