Oil India FC drub Daimalu, ARC win

GUWAHATI, Sept 23 - Former champions Oil India Football Club of Duliajan thrashed Daimalu Club 6-1 in a Group B league match of the 66th Bharat Ratna Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Trophy Football Tournament.

In a totally one-sided affair at the Nehru Stadium here today, Milan Basumatary created a record by scoring in the 27th second of the match which is the fastest goal in Bordoloi Trophy history. William Gangte (15th and 56th minute), Sirandeep Moran (33rd, 59th and 63rd) were the other scorers for Oil India. Tinku Baglary was the lone scorer for Daimalu who struck in the third minute.

At Sonapur, in a thrilling encounter Assam Regimental Centre, Shillong rallied to beat Gauhati Town Club 2-1.

The Guwahati boys were leading 1-0 till the dying moments of the game with Pulak Baruah scoring in the 27th minute. However, L Robert scored a brace in the additional minutes of the game (90+1 and 90+2) to seal victory for his side.
