OIL donates Rs 50 lakh to CM�s Relief Fund

GUWAHATI, Aug 19 � Oil major Oil India Limited (OIL) has contributed Rs 50 lakh to the Chief Minister�s Relief Fund in aid of flood-affected people of the State, a press release said.

A cheque of the amount was formally handed over to Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi by NM Borah, chairman and managing director of OIL at Gogoi�s official residence in the city on Thursday. The Chief Minister lauded OIL�s humanitarian gesture to the flood-hit people, and wished the company success in its hydrocarbon exploration and production ventures in the State.
