BISWANATH CHARIALI, May 27 - Two ANMs of Gohpur FRU Hospital in Biswanath district, namely Guna Choudhury and Mrinalini Regon were reportedly issued punishment transfer recently by the Additional Chief Medical and Health Officer of Sonitpur and Joint Director of Health Services, Sonitpur for their alleged negligence to duty.
It is alleged that the said nurses had mistakenly vaccinated a five-month-old baby twice, whereas the vaccines were meant for nine-month-old babies.
Meanwhile, the Gohpur sub-divisional administration has also initiated a magisterial enquiry into the incident.
