GANGTOK, April 1 - No positive COVID-19 case has been detected in Sikkim so far. The State Health Department has said that out of 26 samples sent for tests, 23 have tested negative, while results of three were awaited.

According to a source, the results of samples sent from Sikkim, including those of some persons who had travelled in the same flight from Chennai with a COVID-19 patient from Kalimpong in West Bengal who passed away yesterday, were negative.

Strict restrictions have been imposed at the border crossings with West Bengal at Rangpo and Melli as the State is trying hard to mitigate the growing threat of COVID-19.
