Nimati Koina staged

TEZPUR, June 26 - The Horibilash Agarwala Memorial Trust that has been working in the field of preserving Jyoti Prasad Agarwala�s unparallel contribution towards Assamese culture, staged the play Nimati Koina at Jyoti Bharati (POKI) here recently. The play directed by noted artiste Krishna Das Nath and acted by a group of young talents, could send across a message to the audience.

Before staging of the play, two students studying in Class XII in Tezpur Govt Girls� Higher Secondary School, namely Lipika Bora and Dimpi Kalita spoke respectively on Rupkwnor�s contribution towards Assamese society and culture and the play Nimati Koina.

As guests of the function, Deputy Commissioner, Sonitpur Narshing Powar, Tezpur MLA Brindaban Goswami, social worker Minaxi Bhuyan, Assamese cine artiste Arun Nath, noted playwright Asarya Kakoti, Dr Pradip Barua were present.

Overwhelmed by the performance of young talents in the play, Deputy Commissioner Narshing Powar mentioned that Nimati Koina is not simply a play, but it carries a strong message of culture.
