NFR GM calls on CM

GUWAHATI, Dec 8 - General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway (Construction) Harjeet Kumar Jaggi made a courtesy call on Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi at the latter�s office here yesterday.

This was Jaggi�s first meeting with the Chief Minister after taking charge as GM of NFR (Construction).

Jaggi apprised the Chief Minister of the progress of various ongoing railway projects in the north-eastern region, particularly the progress and development of railway projects in Assam.

Gogoi, on his part, emphasised the need for expediting the progress of ongoing projects in the NE region. He also called for introduction of more passenger trains in the newly opened Lumding-Silchar section.

Jaggi assured the Chief Minister that Indian Railways would put in its best efforts for early completion of the projects in the interest of development of Assam and the NE region.
