NESO delegation likely to meet Rajnath Singh over NRC issue

NEW DELHI, OCT 10: A delegation of the North East Students Organisations (NESO) is likely to call on Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today afternoon to demand implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in all the eight States of the region.

The NESO delegation, which has been camping in the national capital for the last two days, has also sought appointment with President Ram Nath Kovind.

The NESO�s demand for NRC comes close on the heels of the Supreme Court issuing notices to the Government of India, the Government of Tripura and the Election Commission to respond to a petition seeking NRC for Tripura.
