NEIST inks MoU with Odisha co

JORHAT, Sept 22 - CSIR-NEIST, which is located at Pulibor on the outskirts of the city here, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with KIIT-Technology Business Incubator (KIIT-TBI) of Bhubaneswar on Monday to formulate and promote programmes for bio-entrepreneurship development in the country, particularly in the north-eastern region.

It may be mentioned here that KIIT-TBI was started in 2009 as an initiative of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar.

A press note issued by CSIR-NEIST here stated that the MoU was signed by Dr G Narahari Sastry, Director of CSIR-NEIST and Dr Mrutyunjay Suar, in the presence of officials from both the organisations.

The note mentioned that the CSIR-NEIST Director, speaking on the ocassion, said that the MoU was a �combined vision� of both CSIR-NEIST and KIIT-TBI for promoting bio-entrepreneurship development in the north-eastern region. In his address, the CEO of KIIT-TBI, Dr Suar said that a major step under the MoU will be establishment of bio-incubator at the CSIR-NEIST, the note stated.
