NDRF takes part in mock drill

GUWAHATI, Aug 19 - A team of NDRF personnel today participated in a joint mock drill with the staff of IOCL Betkuchi Terminal, Guwahati, Fire and Emergency Services, Assam, Health Services and 108 ambulance service.

The NDRF�s 1st Bn took active part in the drill and assisted the employees of the IOCL terminal in planning and coordination at the initial stage. NDRF rescuers participated in the exercise with all required response tools and equipment.

During the exercise, NDRF rescuers established a command post and a medical base in the safety area to monitor the situation and provide pre-hospital treatment to the victims. Effective methodology and response drills were rehearsed and practised to ensure efficient, speedy and safe operation with very limited equipment.
