National integration tour for students

HAFLONG, Feb 24 - An eight-day National Integration Tour from Harangajao to Agartala was flagged off from Harangajao recently. The tour has been organized by the 38 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 22 Sector of HQ IGAR (East) with the aim to promote unity among various tribes.

In total, 30 students and four teachers are part of the group. The participants will be visiting various places, including gas-hydro projects, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Thermal Project and Tripura State Thermal Project at Baramura, Eco Park Baramura, Sipaijala Zoo, Neermahal, Matabari Temple, Raj Bhawan, Airport Agartala, Bangladesh border, Agartala town and Heritage Palace, State Museum and Assam Rifles Agartala Garrison.

The children will also have an interaction with the Governor and the Chief Minister of Tripura. The group comprising students from various tribes and non-tribes like Hmar, Naga, Khasi, Gorkha, Muslim, Dimasa, Vaiphei and Bengali, will learn from the development model of the State of Tripura apart from visiting various cultural and heritage sites.
