Nadda holds video conference with State BJP unit on COVID

GUWAHATI, May 17 - BJP national president JP Nadda today held a video conference with the core committee of the State unit of the party regarding the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic and other issues.

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, State BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass and other senior office-bearers of the ruling party participated in the meeting.

Nadda appreciated the steps taken by the Assam government to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and called upon the government to continue with the efforts.

He asked the State BJP to appoint observers for each constituency and to monitor and evaluate the performance of the party�s legislators.

During the video conference, the participants also discussed the issue of the BTC elections, which have been postponed on account of the pandemic.
