TURA, Sept 22 - A music teacher from Bosco Music Academy in Tura town in West Garo Hills has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor in the same institution.
The teacher � identified as Sengprang Ch Marak � was arrested after a complaint was registered at the Women�s Police Station in Tura. The complaint said the accused had allegedly detained the minor on the excuse of giving her extra lessons when he committed the act.
�We have arrested him under POCSO,� said Superintendent of Police Dr MGR Kumar. He said more sections may be added once the medical report is available, as sources said the accused may have committed a more heinous crime than molest the minor. The incident took place on September 19 and the case was registered on September 21, after the victim narrated the details of her ordeal to her parents.
