GUWAHATI, May 24 - The two-day 7th Parampara Music and Dance Festival held at the Rabindra Bhavan here concluded yesterday. The event was organised by Abhinaya Society in collaboration with the Directorate of Cultural Affairs.
The two-day event showcased talents from the Indian classical heritage. On the first day of the festival Kathak performance by Vidha Lal, Odissi by Anjana Moyee Saikia, Hindustani vocal recital by Joy Prakash Medhi and Borgeet by Prashanta Rajkhowa were the highlights.
On the concluding day the highlights included Satriya performance by Ustad Bismilla Khan Yuva Pratva Puraskar awardee Meernanda Barthakur, Violin recital by Manoj Baruah, Kuchipudi by Sangeet Natak Akademi winner Vyjayanthi Kashi and Ustad Bismilla Yuva Puraskar winner Pratiksha Kashi and Hindustani vocal performance by Bidhushi Mandira Lahiri.
