MoU signed for social history documentation

GUWAHATI, Nov 3 - Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Nanda Talukdar Foundation for documentation of the contemporary social history of Assam.

The purpose of the MoU is to continue research and document the events and happenings of the post-colonial Assam, to promote mutual collaboration in research activities, and establish a framework for exchange and collaboration in areas of history and other areas of common interest for mutual benefit.

Under the agreement, both the organisations will work for joint and collaborative research and consultancy in the thrust areas of common interests. They will work for joint organisation of conferences, workshops, seminars, symposia, training and lectures, etc, to improve the exchange of knowledge and experience, a statement issued here said.
