Morigaon set for polls

MORIGAON, March 8 - The Morigaon district administration is gearing up for smooth conduct of the Assembly elections in three constituencies � Jagiroad, Morigaon and Lahorighat in the district which will go to the polls on April 11.

Addressing a press conference, the Deputy Commissioner of Morigaon, Rakesh Kumar, said that the district has been divided into 11 zones and 67 sectors for free and fair polls. In total, 5,070,484 voters will exercise the franchises, Kumar added.

There are 659 polling stations in the three Assembly constituencies where 22 cells were formed under 22 nodal officers for the smooth conduct of polls.
