NALBARI, Sept 12 - BJP MLA from Nalbari constituency Ashok Sarma and his wife Pranita Devi tested positive for COVID-19 and have been admitted to Nalbari Swahid Mukunda Kakati Civil Hospital here on Saturday.
Earlier, MLA of Barkshrtri LAC Narayan Deka also tested positive for the virus. The couple tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday morning at the hospital.
It may be mentioned here that the MLA attended an executive meeting of Nalbari district BJP at Nalbari town on Friday.
Minister of Industries and Commerce, Chandra Mohan Patowary, chairman of Assam Tourism Development Corporation Jayanta Malla Baruah, Barkshrtri MLA Narayan Deka, among others, attended the meet.
