AIZAWL, Sept 9 - Mizoram ranks first among the eight Northeastern states with respect to completion of projects, having the least number of pending utilisation certificates, NEC Secretary Ram Muivah said during the two-day North Eastern Council (NEC) plenary meeting held at Guwahati.
Till July-end, Mizoram has eight pending UCs, amounting to Rs 8.59 crore.
Sikkim is the closest with 20 pending UCs (Rs 16.36 crore), while Assam and Arunachal Pradesh record a pending amount of over Rs 60 crore.
Mizoram is also the only state with 100 per cent processing of utilisation certificates through the NEC UC portal in all applicable projects.
