Militants nabbed in Manipur

IMPHAL, May 12 - Security Forces apprehended seven militants and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Kamjong district of Manipur on May 9, stated in a press release.

� Acting on a specific intelligence inputs regarding movement of insurgents with weapons, an operation was launched in Kamjong and nabbed the militants,� the release added. �The militants belong to PREPAK , KYKL and UNLF had a massive plan to foment trouble in various parts of the State,� the release claimed.

The seized arsenal included an AK 56 Rifle, a 7.62 mm Assault Rifle type 81, one 9 mm pistol, three Chinese grenades, two rounds of explosive, three detonators and one magazine of AK, the release added.

The militants and recovered weapons were handed over to Imphal Police Station for further inquiry.
