Meghalaya Guv launches pharmaceutical college

GUWAHATI, July 27 - Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy today officialy launched the �Allama TR College of Pharmacy�, a new institution of ERD Foundation, Guwahati, through a virtual launching ceremony organised over Zoom App with active participation of eminent dignitaries across North East India, an e-mail received here stated.

The welcome address was offered by Mahbubul Hoque, Chancellor of USTM and chairman of ERDF/ATRCP after which the inaugural speech was delivered by Tathagata Roy, who said, �Emergence of a new educational institution during this pandemic is definitely a positive news for the entire NE region.�

�Being able to launch an institution via remote control with active interaction of dignitaries is a major proof of technological development that human kind have achieved so far� he added.

The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Dipika Deka, VC, SSUHS and followed by brief speeches by various dignitaries, including Prof. Dilip Chandra Nath, VC, AU, Prof. GD Sharma, VC, ABVV, Prof. Rajat Gupta, Director of NIT-Mizoram, Dr Dhiraj Bora, VC, ASTU, Prof. Vinoid Kumar Jain, VC, Tezpur University and Prof. KRS Sambasiva Rao, VC of Mizoram University.
