HALFLONG, Sept 25 - Gearing up for the elections to the NC Hills Autonomous Council expected to be held in November next, the Maibang Block Congress Committee organised a mega public meeting at Durgabari near the Congress office in Maibang on Monday.
The meeting began with a rally which traversed through the major parts of Maibang.
The meeting was addressed by Dima Hasao DCC president Nirmal Langthasa, general secretary Kalijoy Sengyung, vice president Mayanan Kemprai, Hamjanan Langthasa and others.
All the Congress leaders from Haflong attended the meeting and appealed to the public to extend their wholehearted support to the Congress party for a better future of the district.
