GUWAHATI, March 11� The Boripara-Adabari area of Pandu, under South-West Guwahati Water Supply Project, is suffering from acute scarcity of potable drinking water. The plight of the people was narrated by several elderly persons of the localities in a meeting organised by Guwahati Water Supply Project at KarmashreeHiteswar Saikia Auditorium, Boripara on Tuesday.
The meeting was organised to create public awareness on the upcoming Guwahati Water Supply projects. The project consultants informed the residents present that the existing drinking water problem of their locality will soon be solved as all the lanes and by lanes of entire Guwahati Metropolitan Area will have 24 hours potable water supply with adequate pressure, an official press release stated.
