GUWAHATI, Sept 28 - Mahalaya, marking the auspicious beginning of the ten-day Durgotsav, was inaugurated at Bipanan Kshetra, Panjabari, with the participation of 20 distinguished citizens of Panjabari area today.
Inaugurating the proceedings, senior journalist DN Chakravartty explained the spiritual and social significance of Mahalaya and Durgotsav.
Anuradha Sarma Puzari, Tobiul Hussain, Syed Hasinur Rahman, Pradip Puzari, Dr Aaparajita Barkataki and Nayanjyoti Bhattacharya participated in the discussion.
