LPG conservation-cum-domestic workshop begins

BAIHATA CHARIALI, Oct 29 - In a meeting held at the office premises of Trinayan Gas Agency at Baihata Chariali today, Uttiya Bhattacharya, Chief General Manager of Indian Oil Corporation, Assam Oil Division inaugurated the LPG conservation-cum-domestic workshop for the State. The workshop will be held in various places of the State and conclude on March 31, 2019.

The chief general manager also released a leaflet published by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) )and the Petroleum Conservation Research Association to provide knowledge to the LPG users how to conserve or save LPG in their kitchens. Bhattacharya also gave some tips on fuel conservation in the domestic areas and called upon the consumer to use star label or ISI mark domestic LPG stove, use pressure cookers to cook faster and save fuel, use the right amount of water to make food, use shallow and wide utensils, clean the stove burner at regular intervals etc. during his speech.

On the other hand, Ranjit Borgohain, Deputy General Manager of LPG (Sales), Guwahati area office explained some necessary and safety measures of LPG in domestic sector with demonstrations. Participating in the function as guest, the branch manager of State Bank of India, Baihata Chariali, Gakul Kumar appreciated the move of the IOC and urged the public of the area to follow the safety measures of the use of LPG in their daily lives.

In the programme, a number of officials of IOC including general manager DJ Dutta and Bimal Pathak, Deputy General Manager Kamalesh DevNath and K Mohan and Manager (Sales) Gajendra Pathak and Nabajyoti Deka were also present. The programme was anchored by drama artiste Pankaj Kalita and vote of thanks was offered by Nibedita Deka.
