GUWAHATI, May 17 � Lakhimpur Cricket Coaching Centre and Zangam Cricket Coaching Centre, Sivasagar cruised into the next round of the on going All Assam U-14 Inter Coaching Centre/Academy Cricket Tournament.
Lakhimpur CCC overpowered Jorhat Cricket Coaching Centre by six wickets at Nehru Stadium here and at Barsapara stadium Zangam edged past Dibrugarh Coaching Centre by one run. Jorhat, batting first were all out for 80 in 34 overs in the 35-over match and in reply Lakhimpur took 29.3 overs to score 81 for four. It was a close match at Barsapara as chasing a target of 143 scored by Dibrugarh losing four wickets in 35 overs. The Sivasagar boys finally managed to cross opponent�s total with four balls to spare.
