Kumar Sanjay Krishna accorded hearty farewell

GUWAHATI, Oct 31 - The Secretariat Administration Department today organised a farewell meeting for outgoing Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna in the Chief Minister�s conference hall at Janata Bhawan.

The meeting was also held to welcome new Chief Secretary Jishnu Barua.

Apart from a host of bureaucrats who attended the meeting, deputy commissioners of many districts joined in online.

In his speech, Sanjay Krishna reminisced about his service days and said he was fortunate to hold many important portfolios. He thanked everyone who had extended help and cooperation to him during his tenure of 35 years. He also appealed to all the officers to be sincere and dedicated in their work.

An IAS officer of 1985 batch Assam-Meghalaya Cadre, Sanjay Krishna served as Chief Secretary of Assam for the last 10 months.

Jishnu Barua spoke about his long association with Kumar Sanjay Krishna since their college days and threw light on the multifarious qualities that the latter possessed. He also wished Sanjay Krishna luck for all his future endeavours.

Additional chief secretaries VS Bhaskar, Maninder Singh, Paban Kumar Borthakur and Syedain Abbasi were also present on the dais. Several bureaucrats and deputy commissioners of some districts also spoke on the occasion.
