Kidnapping kingpin held

TURA, Sept 16 - Bronson Momin, the alleged kingpin of the gang behind the abduction of a coal trader from Nangalbibra in South Garo Hills, was arrested today from near Gabil Koksi village bordering North Garo Hills and East Garo Hills districts.

Bronson and his gang were allegedly involved in the kidnapping of Rintu Marak from Rengdim in West Khasi Hills on July 1. Marak was later released on payment of ransom. However, most of the criminals were later arrested by the police. But Bronson had been giving the police the slip.
