During a special session held last evening the Council passed the Bill which aims to empower traditional institutions. The Bill would be sent to the State Government for approval.

Chief Executive Member, Pynshngainlang N Syiem said the section is in conflict with existing Central laws, including Representation of Peoples Act 1950.
