DERGAON, July 26 - On the occasion of the 21st anniversary of India�s victory over Pakistan in the Kargil war, the �Kargil Vijay Divas� was celebrated by the Golaghat district administration on Sunday.
On the occasion, the Golaghat district administration remembered Kargil swahid Vir Chakra Captain Jintu Gogoi at the Khumtai residence of his parents.
In a private ceremony, the proud parents � Thogiram Gogoi and Duluprabha Gogoi � were accorded a warm felicitation at their residence.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Lakhimi Dutta and Assistant Commissioner Papu Gogoi attended the programme on behalf of the district administration where they felicitated the parents with phulam gamosa and paid floral tribute at his portrait.
