Karendra Nath Brahma passes away

KOKRAJHAR, Oct 10 - Noted social worker and politician Karendra Nath Brahma, who was associated with several educational and public welfare institutions, passed away at Apollo Hospital in Guwahati this afternoon following prolonged illness. He was 76.

Brahma was the ex-principal of Deborgaon HS School and founder president of All Bodo Employee�s Federation, first chairman of Central Selection Board, BTC, Policy Making Body member of Bodoland People's Front (BPF) and chairperson of Assam Wholesale Cooperative Society, Kokrajhar. He was also associated with other social organisations.

He leaves behind his wife and three daughters.
